This is a festive time of year, with so much going on. As this year winds down, I reflect on 2024 and look forward to next year.

I want to share something I learned that might initially seem obvious.

Still, it’s like anything else: as you explore the different layers of an idea or skill, you discover something new you can experience, learn, and make meaningful for your personal preferences and unique situations.

This past week, I received a lovely email from Jill, who made the $15,000 Amateur World Finals Cutting in Fort Worth. For those who don’t cut, that’s a big deal! Congratulations, Jill! You go, girl!

Her email made me think it would be fun to hear from you about whatever made you smile or that you’re proud of as you look back over 2024 and acknowledge the people, horses, and things that contributed to your success.

Do you remember the game of telephone we played as a kid? At the beginning of a long string of people, someone whispers a short story about someone or something to the person next to them.

Then, the story is whispered to the next person. When the tale is whispered multiple times around a circle, the final story barely resembles the original one.
